| AntiWar is a simple shooter. Aircrafts of evil imperialists are attacking you and your brothers. Now it's about to defend yourself. In order to get the whole thing a bit more interesting, you can upgrade your people and rockets (e.g. stronger/faster rockets) Controls: Left mouse button = left turret Right mouse button = right turret Important note: In order to be successful, it's necessary to target aircrafts, until the crosshair turns red (about 1 sec.) | I made a game sort of like that where a country was invading all its friendly neighbors. All the friendly neighbors with some help from a country across the great sea would shoot the "Axis powers", that's what i decided to call the evil country, out of the sky, off the land in the head. It was kind of controversial so I scrapped the idea. I'm making one now called "Boom Head Shot, Boom Head Shot" |

| Well thats knackerd my mouse fingers. Nice little shooter, but mouse button firing when it gets frantic is always a killer. Also not sure of the wait for it to go red to target thing. Seemed pointless, Much easier to just blast everything to hell. |

| I really enjoyed it, nice and polished feel. Too hard for me as I couldn't get off level 2, the 2 planes dropping huge round bombs just killed all my men. I can't believe that people are worried about the political subtext enough to remove it from the news page when it is such a good example of programming, oh well. |

| Suco-X, since when did this website become American? Some time back, there was a shooter where one just shot at bomb-throwing and suicide-bombing arabs running towards the front of the screen. I thought that was inappropriate so thankfully it was taken off the showcase in BlitzCoder. Well, would you have accepted that game as tolerable "free opinion" too? Ridiculous. |

| I believe it's everyones right to make any sick stuff they like. If you can't tolerate it then shut up and look away. What about snuff movies, or the stuff that got Gary Glitter locked up? Should the guy at the pc repair shop 'shut up and looked the other way'? As for the game being removed from the front pages that's just common business sense. It's bad for any business to appear to have a political view in any direction as the political landscape changes so quickly. BRL have allowed the game to appear on the forums so it's not like they're banning or condemning it. |

| Well, for snuff or kiddy porn the law has to be broken in order for the product to have been made, so owning it is an act of collusion (if that's the word). Guilt by association. It's not that unreasonable that this game be on the front page. After 9/11 most of the european media was sympathetic "but" had no problem saying the US brought it upon themselves. That tone has changed since the Spain and England bombings but the attitude is still pretty consistent amongst the youth there. It's not the most tasteful protrayal of the opposing opinion but it harms no one. Those little soldiers are the cutest. Ice9, you are an evil, evil, hilarious but evil person, lol! |

| Hey folk, thx for your replies. Quite funny, BB.com, thx a lot that you took it from your news page. For what did i buy Bmax, when i am not allowed to public my games on your webpage. I mean, content of the game is not pro america, and yes, america does not appear in a super light like they do normally, but you dont shoot on civilists or destroy america in the game, you only defend your people against modern aircrafts. And who stands for aircraft attacks? Maybe the little arab in his earth hole ? What do you think? There are hundreds of games in which you play a western soldier/nation and kill evil arabis/chinese or germans. Thats something else? Its legal to play the brutal second world war or to invade china (BattleField2)? | hm ok maybe "EVIL US" was too aggressive, but i thought it was censored to "evil imperialists". That is no problem for me, you can also change it in "friendly birds" or something else i did not want to attack whole USA, i live in an internationl dormitory with lots of americans, and they all laugh at this game and are not angry with me ;-) so if you dont want political things on blitznews plz censor it as much as you want but pleeease leave it their, we want to reach 1000 downloads and there are a lot of freeware gamer on bb.com |

| It's a game with an extremist theme no more correct than the games "Ethnic Cleansing","White Law","KZ Manager" or "Aryan Test". Sure in a free society you have right to publish anything you want but don't act shocked when others disagree with you. Isn't that what you were hoping for anyway? | Oh please. Americans are not holy. Stop talking as if they havn't done anything wrong... We're all human... we ALL suck. EDIT : Mangoo is right, there is no difference between an American game killing bad guys or an Arab game killing bad guys. It's the perception of who the bad guy is that causes the problem - and that is mostly inner conflict (esp if you are of the same race as the race being portrayed as the bad guys)... of course I agree it probably is best that it's off of the news page... I havn't played the game so I didn't know before what it was about exactly... |

| ..hey mango..game is ok man..if they can be silent on many games where you walking around and killing germans, why not americans then..as I can see, its not far away from truth what american aircrafts doing over there in arab countries..anyway, thats just game, but obviously its forgoten when target is american flag or aircrafts, and for germans or anyone else, thats ok to publish...weird rule.. |

| I like it ;) Just one thing, is it coded in BlitzMax ? Because I use my mouse with my left hand and I have reversed left click to right click with the mouse'drivers. It works with all games and all Blitz2D/3D/Plus. But with AntiWar I've got a problem... mouse controls are reseted by default, so when I shot with the right button the left turret fires... °_O ;) |

| Wow, it's a real showpiece for the power of Blitzmax. There's a lot more moving onscreen than I thought was possible. As a concept the gameplay should be about mind numbingly repetitive as it gets, but the excellent attention to detail and little gameplay tweaks do keep the interest up. Also I did laugh at the image of pocket-lining serial liar Dick Cheney flying about in the Red Baron's plane. And oooh, controversy! I doubt Blitz Research want to touch this one with a barge pole, but to be fair that'll be because the blurb labelled an entire county as evil. Whether it reffered to the US, Isreal or anywhere I believe Blitz would have removed it from the front page rather than risk offense. It was obviously tongue in cheek, but a depressingly huge portion of the population cannot laugh at itself. ESPECIALLY where the virtue of the west is concerned. Remember, we're the good guys, spreading love and happiness wherever we go. Claims that the US and UK have essentially bent the 3rd world over and shafted it for the last 100 years are obviously MAD conspiracies perpetrated by TEH EVIL LIBERALIST MEDIA! Ahem, anyway, keep your chin up, I'm certain you'll have a fair amount of unpleasent e-mail over this. Looking forward to your next project, hope it gets a warmer reception than this one. |

I was clicking around and something called ftp popped up and there was a picture of a bunch of guys in combat uniforms and ski masks raiding a bus at a check point. Is that the trama that inspired the anti-american game. Some other files were listed also. I would suggest cleaning up your server and fixing what every bug caused that to pop up. |

| any publicity is good publicity? well done game, although I found myself easily going through the attack waves without losing anything until the low sweeping attack helicopters came and I instantly faild the level =) so from being "too easy" it became "too hard" for me, but I'm prolly not that good either :) |

| Blitz Research has every right to remove this from the front page. If they were Nazis, they could pull this entire thread, but they haven't. I think it has a really good arcade feel to it. Stuck on the fish level at the moment which is a bit annoying as you die for no apparent reason when the fish gets about half way down the screen. One comment regarding the McDonald's levels 'I'm loving it' |

| Level 8 seems impossible. Seems to get to the stage where I do just as well firing centre screen as by aiming. Too many bombs, not enough fire power. Just played it with sound for the first time and sounds very good. |

| I love this, but at times I've given up and quit the game as it seemed nothing was left to kill, but the level did not end. Then I noticed that there was still a plane flying round off the edge of the screen. Took about 10 minutes for it to make an appearance long enough to shoot it. |
