Thanks to Diablo for hosting this file, feel free to visit his website at http://diablogames.133h.co.uk/

This is a .mov movie showing my realtime blobby-objects engine in action. This is one of many varieties of blob styles, but one of my favorites. :-) You may need Quicktime to view it.

Let me know your feedback and thoughts.

Thanks, and hats off again to Diablo! I'll try to find some more permanent webspace this weekend.

mmmm.......
i too got the same problem. (i have only just tried playing it as i have just brought bmax).

ImaginaryHuman(Posted 2005) [#5]
Hmm. It's a quicktime file, .mov format, stored with MPEG4 compression. Do you have an up-to-date version of quicktime?

Sorry guys, I'll do a better job of this over the weekend.

Rule of thumb: Don't use .mov, everyone hates Quicktime ;)

Use something like DivX, at least then everyone is likely to have it, and if not it's smaller than Quicktime to get the codec.

@AngelDaniel > try http://members.freewebs.com/ ( i would sign up no as is you want to upload files bigger then 750k, you would have to be a member for 7 days )

ImaginaryHuman(Posted 2005) [#8]
A majority of windows users, eh? ;-) Quicktime is ok.

I'll get some decent movies put together and changed to wmv files or whatever over the weekend.

*sigh*

Perturbatio(Posted 2005) [#9]
Avi is the way to go, quicktime won't playback for me either.

Booticus(Posted 2005) [#10]
Dang it AngelDaniel, just cross over to the darkside and be done with it! AVI or WMV! ;) Anyways, you getting closer for an executable for us to check out???? I wanna see it running on my box! It looks so groovy tie-dye stylee!!

See my new thread for (hopefully working) avi movies

As for an excecutable, I'm guessing you are on a PC at the moment and I haven't installed the Windows version of BlitzMax yet (as I don't have a PC to access). Beyond that I hope the movies will suffice to wet your appetite for now. :-) When it's looking more like a game there may be a proper demo to play with.

Booticus(Posted 2005) [#12]
