I got to the end too.

I think the trick is going back when you see the cubes
are getting to you, then you wait a little so they
rebound in front and you start going forward again :D

I agree with Eurythmia. I beat it (without jumping) after about 20,30 tries, 7 minutes. It IS a fun short game for 'offloading'.

Edit: OH! You can jump using CTRL ? Wow that makes it ten times easier :) I finished this one without jumping. Try THAT! haha

Very cool and insidiously addictive. With some polish and a few strategic objectives, this could be the next Tetris!

Hmm, looking at other replays, Perturbatio didnt jump as well and finished it. And he did the same i did. Maybe it would be more fun with more twists such as a gravity field that pulls you to a side or a shake that re-scatters the cubes, etc etc. Heaps of ideas that could make such a game a winner. I nearly feel like making one.

Thats pretty great Coorrae, did you see the concept somewhere else or did you come up with it?

Thanks, I origionally came up with it the idea when I was 14 or 15 when all I had was QBasic. I made it at school.
I didn't know how to use speed variables or Floats so they would just move diagnally based on a direction number. Then I remade the idea in Darkbasic and recently copyied it in blitz3d


I came up with at the same time.

I was afraid that adding new things (like jump) would make it less addicting.
This could become a community project or something.
Obviously something should be changed because look at this replay
Some of the cubes are outside of the level because the random number generator is messed up. I made it at the last minute and with whatever math commands

How about Running of the bulls? you have to run against them to save your girlfriend or somthing. Then we would need an animated bull


Maybe it should have levels that just get harder every time.
You could get points when you *almost* hit an enemy. The faster it is going to more points you get. Then no matter how good you are, you will not get bored with the easy levels because it will still be hard to get a lot of points and you could always have gotten a little more.


Or when you get to the impossible last level, the wall starts moving away from you when you get close to it! HAHAHA

Revamp the graphics, at least so there wall and floor textures. I'm trying to get that in, at least. For some strange reason it's being difficult...

AHHHHHHHH!!!! I almost got tothe end.... AHHHHH I HATE IT!!! AHHHHHH... OK no more caps...

Silly and fun game... should be ported to phone game... Fewer cubes at first then harder...

Football (American) ground texture IMO then you could call it Kickoff!! where you have to return a kickoff.


haha that is a good idea, you return the kickoff for a touchdown!


Jumping is kind of randomly lucky sometimes. Here is the replay of doom. yep I was just herding cattle at the end

thanks for the comments and encouragement, I a making a new version, with different levels of different sizes, and different sizes of cubes. You have:
To get to the end (and get back sometimes)
Or stay alive for a certain amount of time
Or you have to collect things. (possibly things that move)
Get the pacman powerup where you can run into them and kill them.
Speed boosts
Powerups that make you smaller. (or maybe bigger)
And it just keeps getting harder each level forever.

Possibly internet play... Whoever gets to the end first wins. You can bump eachither. If you die, you are put back at the beginning.
I tried making it like that, for this version splitscreen 2player and it was pretty fun.
I never coded any internet games though.
