Just made some major changes and decided to lightmap the whole thing with Gile[s]!

Had to rewrite the loader but now my pipeline is

CartographyShop for level building...there's nothing better for world building.
Milkshape for everything else model wise.
Gile[s] for lightmapping and piecing the levels together...another excellent product.
Particle candy for all the special effects.

I was saving each room separately and had a script for loading in the doors/items into the level and then loading them in one by one.

Now I export the whole level from Gile[s] and parse through the file attaching the rooms/doors/locks/particle effects etc. to the code that controls them..the whole thing is much more streamlined.

Doing it this way is alot easier than I thought! =)

I can't upload any new pics atm because wanadoo myftp won't recognise me...suffice to say the levels look so much better now with creepy shadows and particle effects =)

Since the original couple of DungeonMasters there has not been anything quite with the same atmosphere...DungeonMaster2 was a big disappointment so I want to capture the feel of the first game.
