nice - also clever how you did it.

Looks cool!
I like the skid marks!

the skid marks ARE good...

a phrase i never thought i would use...

really nice looking. What is planned?

xlsior(Posted 2005) [#5]
Pretty nice!

One note though: On my computer (Athlon 2800+, Radeon 9600Pro) the red-and-white circles are frequently flashing then the screen moves around, like they are in interlace mode or something.

All other GFX are pretty smooth.

I cannot run it - it comes up with the text display telling me what features are in it, then when I press a key it says "please wait" and then returns to windows after a short space of time.

PC specs: AMD 500 Mhz, Geforce 2 MX, 256MB Ram, Creative Soundblaster, plenty of harddrive space...Win98SE

Runs fine here. Everything looks cool and I think this will be a really fun game. My only concern is that maybe the car graphic is a bit big compared to the track.
Keep up the good work :)

LarsG(Posted 2005) [#8]
ooh.. I love these games... well done so far.. :)

nawi(Posted 2005) [#9]
Good :)

D2006(Posted 2005) [#10]
thx for feedback.

@Matty:
is there any error message?
note: don't press >Esc< while the start screen, otherwise the game will immediately quit after loading.

It looks pretty nice AND it doesn't look like you made all the track graphics out of blocky tiles, which is great!

Paul "Taiphoz"(Posted 2005) [#12]
Yeah sweet it actually CRASHED ma GFX Drivers, I goto go restart now.

Ta.

D2006(Posted 2005) [#13]
damn.

Can you tell me your system specifications ?
Problems with older graphic cards are possible since
a 2048x2048 is created.

Very nice so far. Somebody else mentioned the car graphic might be a bit big especially if there are to be opponents.
Nice revvy engine sound would be good.
Are you using the GTA cars as the Mclaren2 has crash damage if it helps?

Paul "Taiphoz"(Posted 2005) [#15]
Erm Radion 9800 Pro. with New Drivers. and a Sempron 3000+ at the heart of it all.

It did a pure number on my system worst crash iv seen in a long time tbh.

Matty(Posted 2005) [#16]
No - no error message, and I haven't pressed ESC.

big10p(Posted 2005) [#17]
I only get 30fps until the car gets to the top section of track where it zips up to 60fps suddenly, throwing me into the wall.

My sys is ageing a bit but should be able to run somethinf like this without slowdown, unless you're doing something naughty in-code. :)

Athlon 850Mhz, 16MB GeForce 256

ImaginaryHuman(Posted 2005) [#18]
I would say that sudden speed change at the edge of the track is to do with the use of a superbitmap (?) and not doing as much to update it as otherwise.

SopiSoft(Posted 2005) [#19]
great stuff man!!!!!

Jeroen(Posted 2005) [#20]
Love it.
One suggestion is to improve rotation of the car. It's too slow to turn with a decent speed.

xlsior(Posted 2005) [#21]
rotation & turning appears just fine as long as you apply the handbreak a little when going around the corners...
