Hi,

A few weeks ago I posted details of a simple game I made called "graverobber". Using most of the code from that project I have started work on something else, which originally was going to be a tactical squad based alien shooter game. However it was not all that fun to play. So after receiving some helpful tips on what might make it fun, I have changed it. Here are some pictures of what I have done so far.

If you wish to read through my code in its current state it is available on the web at this address:

All of the textures and models were made by myself using "Milkshape3d", "Creature Creator" and "Ultimate Paint" except for the weapons carried by the player's characters - they are quake2 weapons.

(a few other parts of the code are also near that web address in some other files but the core stuff is in here)

Looks cool.

Where can I get "Creature Creator?"

Nice gfx man :D

No Enemies - Creature Creator can be bought here:

Although I would recommend, if you can afford it, creature lab as creature creator only does human shaped models while creature lab is a much improved version with the ability to make different types of creatures, ie horses, dinosaurs etc.

is it turnbased? real time?

Matty(Posted 2005) [#7]
It's realtime. Fairly simple - left mouse button to issue a move order, right mouse button to fire at where the mouse is pointing. You move all the squad at once. Walk up to doors and they open. Aliens respawn in bursts at multiple nearby predefined locations throughout the missions.
