Dear all !

It's been some days ago since my last game.

So ... the waiting is over - here comes "Snake!ing"

Background:

I always wondered how a Snake-Game is been made off ... coding and logic. So I decided to try it by myself. As the result the idea of "Snake!ing" was born.

You can download the demo here: http://www.softworxs.de/download/snakeing/snakeing_demo.exe

How to play:

When you know Snake-Games you're nearly know everything about the gameplay. But ... wait - there something new. The movement is limited and you have
to collect gold coins to complete a level.

Enjoy the game - critic is welcome :D

Achim,

What a fab. variation on the snake game! I have never seen these kind of additions which for me turn the game into a very much more worthwhile experience than standard snake.
It really makes you think whilst playing. I love the presentation too, nice and colourful and takes a simple game and makes it feel much more.

Two things I would like to suggest.

(1) Get a proper (FREE to use) installer/uninstaller from www.clickteam.com, this will help lift that important first impression of the game, and it gives the user the opportunity and security of an uninstall. The nice presentation you have achieved will continue that professional look and feel.

(2) Make this variation for mobiles, I reckon you'd be rich in a few months!

Absolutely great work... my kids are gonna go nuts when they see this - they love 'snake' on my mobile!!!!!

Now do me a favour and try (if you haven't already) my game 'Snowball Scramble' and let me know (truthfully) what you think plz. :)

You'll find it lower down this section of the forum under 'FREE GAME'.

All the best!

IPete2.

Pretty cool. Sometimes the up arrow key doesn't work btw.

looks good, should add a bit more to the game and you might be able to make some money from it. Its better than some of the efforts ive seen on the indie scene.

Neat game.

P.S.: Btw the ghost is flickering for me... :(

Leto(Posted 2007) [#7]
The snake looks very inspired by Sols' "Snake" comic :P

Some news to tell:

- "up arrow" movement bug fixed
- coding of level editor finished

Well - now I got no excuse anymore to create new levels for Snake!ing. More news & demo will follow asap.

Cool, what was this made in? B-max, B+, or B3d?

Achim(Posted 2007) [#14]
The whole game is made in BB3D.

How'd you get the icon up in the window?? resH only changes the EXE icon on the icon and the task bar, not the title bar(window)

@Achim

Got the Download! Very nicely done. Thanks.
