Very nice indeed. The screenshots looks promising, I know the programs is for plants, but will you be including grass as well?? Or is this simply a plant program.

You've got a good set of products

Blitz Tree
Blitz Grass
Plant Life

Well done :)

PL will be capable of designing; Flowers, plants, weeds, twigs, grass, vines, bushes, mushrooms and billboards.

Nice job! This sounds great!

Any idea on pricing / release date?

SabataRH(Posted 2004) [#5]
Unoffically - Should be about $30-$40, i hope to launch this tool by mid next month.

GrahamK(Posted 2004) [#6]
Nice as usual m8.....

SabataRH(Posted 2004) [#7]
Thanks for the comments.. If you got a second refresh those screenshots - I've baked some fake variable lighting into the leaf skins on the plants ( not flowers ); gives better illumination I think.

Looks great. I'm always amazed by BlitzTree and your other products. So amazed. Unfortunately, I don't think I can simply afford them. :(

SabataRH(Posted 2004) [#9]
Finished a new module today, one I wasnt going to include in the package but thought - what the heck, 3d games need more ferns!

Ferns, these ferns are about 60 polys each and use a single surface.

Ferns#1
Ferns#2
Ferns#3

Nice :)

More modules you add, more you will please the users, more pleased the users are more they will refer it to other people.

wmaass(Posted 2004) [#11]
Nice! I own blitztree, I want blitzgrass. Perhaps you can run a another special so I can get blitzgrass and plant life -- buy one get one :)

wizzlefish(Posted 2004) [#12]
A BlitzGrass/PlantLife bundle sounds great....

xmlspy(Posted 2004) [#13]
Looks very nice.

SabataRH(Posted 2004) [#14]
Actually, there will be an export option named ".Nat".. You can use this export and some blitz code i will be including to simulate blitzgrass with any export you make in Plantlife..

I haven't test it enough yet but I think i will include some type of soft-animation in the Nat format.. Thats unoffical though.

Great job.

aab(Posted 2004) [#16]
That first screen looks incredible! The textures really make it seem realistic

SabataRH(Posted 2004) [#17]
Thanks.

Just completed the mushroom module, tranz modled many sets of caps and stems and included lo, med, hi poly versions - easily selectable.

Shroom's

In the stage of designing the bush module now... so far I got some ideas im starting to like but I'm still not satisfied..

here's a prototype of a bush in Plantlife - 48 polys
Bush

Vorderman(Posted 2004) [#20]
Can you post a piccy of that bush in wireframe also?

Kanati(Posted 2004) [#21]
Flowers, plants, weeds, twigs, grass, vines, bushes, mushrooms and billboards.

I'm reminded of my early childhood watching Sesame Street and singing that song "one of these things is not like the other. one of these things just doesn't belong..." :)

Screenies look very nice. :)

SabataRH(Posted 2004) [#22]

Not much to see in wireframe as it's just maksed quads.

wizzlefish(Posted 2004) [#23]
Why billboards? As in those big signs you see up on the freeway?

The first "fern" screenshot looks like a Sega Palm.

SabataRH(Posted 2004) [#24]
Billboards - Sprites, 2 poly quads, 2 poly planes that rotate towards the camera, usually used in massive landfill.. ground filler etc..

SabataRH(Posted 2004) [#25]
Added another module this weekend that I was initinally not planning to put in but after looking it over I deamed it a much needed addition. Tropical Plants.

This is still an ealy development shot and the poly count should drop about 30% once finished.

Tropical

SabataRH(Posted 2004) [#26]

Very nice stuff! You should display it with a skybox-ish bgcolor.
