Why in the heck hasn't anyone responded yet?

Looks great, gonna have to download the demos when I get the time (and PC).

HNPhan(Posted 2004) [#4]
this is very nice :)
Im considering on buying it, so how is the support on this? and is there an editor for it?

Dragon57(Posted 2004) [#5]
Very nice. I would also be interested if it had an editor.

Shambler(Posted 2004) [#6]
Will download and look at when I get home.

If that scene with the birds in is what I think it is I'm really looking forward to seeing it =)

Powerful but simple, very nice. Although I have to say that Particle Candy's demos impressed me more. With that said, I have to give compliments for the documentation, they alone justify the price. Far too many third party libs either skimp on the docs or don't have any at all, even the ones that cost. This package though has a very good set of docs. I know most people don't like to write documentation nut it really is one of the most important parts in a package.

An editor would be nice...

when the missiles hit the terrain the explosions are terrible

Warren(Posted 2004) [#11]
So? It's just values in the particle system. Tweak them. The code is what's important here, not the demo.

Dreamora(Posted 2004) [#12]
Most of the demos don't run fluently, the 4k particles demo even breaks down to 30 fps on a Radeon 9700.

I fear the system needs some improvements.

Ross C(Posted 2004) [#13]
4,000 is a bit extreme is it not?

puki(Posted 2004) [#14]
Some nice stuff there - I particuarly like the log fire and the cigarette - also like the birds.

Gabriel(Posted 2004) [#15]
The demos are quite nice, but the FPS results don't match the on-screen results. Some of the demos are reporting 250fps when the particles are clearly quite jerky. I don't know if this is a game-timing issue or some kind of trick where you're only updating each particle every x frames to spread the load. The non-particle elements are always smooth, if that helps.

Erroneouss(Posted 2004) [#16]
hmmmm..... i get 190-200 fps in 4k particle demo... nice work!! i like it!

Mustang(Posted 2004) [#17]
Editor would be nice, yes... I have Particle Candy and won't easily switch from that (because I paid moneu for it!) but make GOOD wysiwyg editor and I might be tempted.

I think it's pretty slow... pretty nice looking otherwise..
