Well done!

Rob Farley(Posted 2004) [#3]
Good ennit! Although it does kinda leave you with a urrrm feeling afterwards.

boomboom(Posted 2004) [#4]
Cool :) let us know how you are getting on with the publisher, we should make a website or a sticky thread that lists all the publishers that take on blitz games and are honest

Beaker(Posted 2004) [#5]
Congratulations.

SoggyP(Posted 2004) [#6]
Hi Folks,

Well done.

Later,

Jes

Caff(Posted 2004) [#7]
Nice one :)

Red Ocktober(Posted 2004) [#8]
Congrats Big Time... i know it feels gooooood :)

yeah, i second the idea of having a published developer thread so we can all gain a lil insight on what goes on, and what we can do to make our proposals a lil more publisher friendly.

Looks good. I'm about to try it.

In the meantime, you should ask about their grammar, i.e. "handful".

Play through a massive 80 levels of action and a hand full of bonus levels.

"Yeah, I made it through the first two fingers, but man, those thumb levels were HARD..."

<edit>
It's pengo! pretty fun, though I found a bug right away. If you pause it in the tutorial mode, the timer still runs and when you unpause it the ghost immediately appears and gets you

coffeedotbean(Posted 2004) [#10]
Yeah it Pengo... not seen a recent remake of that game so decided to do that.

Thanks for the bug... I'll fix right away.

(tu) ENAY(Posted 2004) [#11]
I get:-

Error connecting to database.
Please try again.

Ross C(Posted 2004) [#12]
Congrats :)

boomboom(Posted 2004) [#13]

coffeedotbean(Posted 2004) [#15]

Jeremy Alessi(Posted 2004) [#16]

Grisu(Posted 2004) [#17]

keyboard(Posted 2004) [#18]
hey coffeedotbean

I get:
Runtime Error "5"
invalid procedure call or argument

<Win98SE> <PIII 866> <G3-Ti200> <512Mb ram>

SopiSoft(Posted 2004) [#19]
Congrats to you both! :-)

coffeedotbean(Posted 2004) [#20]
You might need to download the VB6 runtimes only 98 systems need to do this I think.

http://download.microsoft.com/download/vb60pro/Redist/sp5/WIN98Me/EN-US/vbrun60sp5.exe

We needed to make a lanucher in VB6 cus the .dll we needed to use for protection would not return correct values in blitz?

keyboard(Posted 2004) [#21]

download.microsoft.com/download/vb60pro/Redist/sp5/WIN98Me/EN-US/vbrun60sp5.exe

hmmm, I already have that runtime library installed, re-installing didn't make any difference... still the same error message...

coffeedotbean(Posted 2004) [#22]
Hum must be a problem running VB6 .exe's on win98/SE.

I'm gonna use Purebasic instead... should fix the problem.

coffeedotbean(Posted 2004) [#23]
On another note the games been online for 5 days and has got over 5000 downloads... cant give sales figures though.

keyboard(Posted 2004) [#24]
maybe you could post, or let me know, if you do a fix?

love to have a look :)

skidracer(Posted 2004) [#25]

If you can email me some info I would like to try and solve this problem for you in Blitz.

Murilo(Posted 2004) [#26]
I can fuse the DLL to your VB6 executable if that's of any use to you?

coffeedotbean(Posted 2004) [#27]
Skidracer - I sent you an email.

Daze - I dont think that will help as ppl with the runtimes installed still get errors.

keyboard(Posted 2004) [#28]
Coffeedotbean, I looked at your game in XP, very nice.

coffeedotbean(Posted 2004) [#29]
Thanks,

Ah so it does look like a Win98 issue. :)

ashmantle(Posted 2004) [#30]

Good job Coffee.. :)

Let us know how things work out. I recently posted a thread about publishers, and where they all went.

If this is a good one, the whole community can benefit from your success :)

coffeedotbean(Posted 2004) [#38]
