What do you think of this tune for my Ancient Wargame

http://home.iprimus.com.au/hastati/Epic_Ancient_Battle2.mp3

Starts slow, drums for marching soldiers, flute to inspire the men then the big fight. After the battle, a sorrowful tune of death with the gods whispering in the background.

Impressive. Lots of energy.
I like the screeching sounds during the battle.
I think the whispering at the end should have tapered off just a little sooner.

Very nice Jager,

My only comment is if you're gonna use scenes of battle with the big fight bit (in the middle where we hear the 'battling voices' in the background), then it may be nice to make more of the voices and have some chinks and things being bashed sounds.

I really like the whole piece - it has a great feel to it, very atmosphereic indeed.

And... at the end I'd like to hear just one final whispered sigh of 'death', the last gasp of air on the battle field, if you like, just to round it off.

I am interested in the process, what did you use to create such an epic piece?

Best regards,

IPete2.

Wow, that's stuffed with impressions, very good work.

Very expressive.

If you've done this yourself, well done.

Perhaps just at the tail end of the crescendo, before it moves into the quieter segment (expressing the aftermath of the battle), you could include a minor chord to give a feeling of change/doubt?

Nice work. On-par with standards of movie tunes in the same genre.

Very good! I assume there's a lot of Proteus in there?

Regards,
Dirk

No didn't do it myself, I contract a muso to do it. I think it's too good, if you get my drift.

I was really hoping someone might say "that reminds me of another tune ..... "

Dirk Krause(Posted 2004) [#9]
Well, it reminds me of anything and nothing. But it's not stolen anywhere AFAIK. It's just plain good.

Keep this guy.
