As the topic suggests, I'm revising some old work of mine. Specifically, one of my old skins. If you notice any resemblance to my first Brunt skin, then congrats, you found what its 'original' concept was.

The original skin:

The revised work in progress shots (first to last):

Face needs a lot of work (as mentioned by qubism), apparently. I really like the arms for some reason, though.

Looks really good!

I just can't stop staring at the arms.... they're some of the best ones I've painted yet...

Ruz(Posted 2004) [#4]
the arms are spot on . and the face is ok too

Ricky Smith(Posted 2004) [#5]
I quite like the breasts !

shame the model isn't good, and doesn't show off the definition. His hair looks a bit teddy boy elvis though.

The arms rock.

hot daammmn... if i could come close to a people person model that looked like that, i'd be more than content...

this bad boy's just about ready to go, as far as i can see...

the face/head aint bad at all...

Started on the chest. I got a good laugh out of looking at the old skin, too -_-

Shumba Dumba. (I'm running out of stupid things to say)

Ruz(Posted 2004) [#10]
I never run out of stupid things to say (or so the wife tells me)
The chest looks tons better BTW
man, that bicep is cool

N(Posted 2004) [#11]
I'm now having trouble focusing my eyes.

Picking it back up

N(Posted 2004) [#13]
Tried to break up the red some.

Ruz(Posted 2004) [#14]
nice improvement. did you sketch it out first or just made up as you went?

N(Posted 2004) [#15]
What part?

Ruz(Posted 2004) [#16]
well for example as you are redoing the chest, do you do a little sketch of the detail , then start skinning.

I tend to jsut slap on some colours and go from there

N(Posted 2004) [#17]
I typically just paint in some rough lighting first, then slowly just draw crap on and see how I like it. If it works out, then I add details and stuff.

Here's a short example of how I progress through my work.

First I intended to just make it a face, then something vaguely alien, then it turned into a robot. That's how I work. 0_o
