Blend 5

Filax(Posted 2004) [#4]
i use it for terrain multi texturing but not for object.

Perturbatio(Posted 2004) [#5]
only bug I can find at the moment, if you are holding the right mouse button whilst moving around, then let go the button, then movement.

Next time you click the right mouse button (without using movement keys), you continue with the same momentum you had last time.

*edit*

Also, it would be good to see the name of the currently selected object.

*edit* as in, the object fromthe object options dialog that you paste with.

hey Filax, this turning out to be a good looking program. Keep on it.

Shambler(Posted 2004) [#9]
Big nasty crash and reboot -.-

Created a terrain and placed some trees on it then my PC's cd drive lit up, screen went blank, then it rebooted itself.

Not sure if it's related but my PC's not done that before.

Agamer(Posted 2004) [#10]

@filax

filax,

Your editor & your skills is nothing short of amazing!!!
When do you think your editor will be ready for distribution through the shareware channels?

Im' ready to purchase the editor now... But it's a shame your not set up to take pre-orders right now!!!

Let me know when you'll be ready though. Im' very interested
in buying your editor!

And once again... Great work as always!

Paul "Taiphoz"(Posted 2004) [#13]
Filax.

Anychance you could nock up a walkthrough demo of one of your levels.

Im interested to see what the frame rate is like with a nice sized level full of trees and other bits..

And im also gona buy it.. so keep us informed.

Filax(Posted 2004) [#14]
finally I have decide not to sell terraed, sorry...

reason ?: i think to have time for support.

Kozmi(Posted 2004) [#15]
@filax

Oh man!! Your kidding!!! Your not going to sell your
TerraED program as good as it is developing?
I could really use a program like that for my projects as well! Man! I hope to encourage you to reconsider your discision here as there are alot of us fellow Blitz3D users that would love to have it also!

If TerraED isn't for sell now? Then are you going to release
it as FreeWare to the community??? If this is the case, then that's totally awesome dude!!! Please let me know when TerraED is finished then so I can grap my copy of it as soon as possible!

A many thanks in advance for all your fine work filax!

Filax(Posted 2004) [#16]
i have i bit of work on this tools, when finished a will
take my decision. thanks for your remark :)

Paul "Taiphoz"(Posted 2004) [#17]
Well If you dont sell it I hope you still release it as freeware.

It would be a shame for such a good application to go to waste.

Not wanting to take over the thread but if hes not selling this. anyone know of any other terrain systems like this. that will allow you to create the terrain and position your game objects and stuff..

sigi(Posted 2004) [#18]
Please Filax, i want TerraEd too.
I have my Money ready.
But for free i wouldn`t say no also. :)

Kozmi(Posted 2004) [#19]
@Yavin

There is indeed another one similar to this one, But it isn't as power as Filax's TerraED though!

You can check it out here --- > http://www.idigicon.com/products/pdetails.asp?id=401

Once again though, This editor isn't as good as Filax's is!!! But it will do what your asking too!

IPete2(Posted 2004) [#20]
Filax,

The way to do this is NOT to offer support (like Halo did with Singularity) this means we agree to use it as it is - and don't keep e-mailing you with requests for help.

I think it would be a great shame if something like TerraED is not released, as it is simply fantastic to look at and wander around.

Please reconsider.

IPete2.

Filax(Posted 2004) [#21]
Ok IPete2 :) i do :)
