BlitzPrinter Userlib 3.0.18

I have released BlitzPrinter Userlib. It has a full installer and instructions on how to use it are in the docs. The docs are saved in HTML and RTF formats and should be print-friendly.

I did not include a demo program or code, and I'm sure I'll get around to that, but the docs spell it out pretty clearly how to use it (I hope). Just copy the dll and decls file to your userlibs directory and you can use the commands as you would any other blitz command. And when you create an install for something you distribute, include the vb runtime included with the install, the vbadvance.tlb type library, and the blitzprinter.dll.

It is free to the community and is classified as "donationware". If you want to donate... feel free. I would LIKE credit in the docs or the credit screen for something you create, but if it's not... no big deal. So use it however you want.

Kantai this is great, a real step closer to making Blitz a fully "professional" package. Thanks for putting so much time and effort into this.

all links are dead ? or is it still my browser that can't get them ?

In any way, is that someone could release the lib please ?

xlsior(Posted 2006) [#12]
It's not your browser, the links are dead... They were posted 2 years ago, guess they have been taken offline some time after that.

Here.

This is the latest version I have - it presents itself as v3.0 so it's probably what you're looking for.

I hope it helps you out. Much love to Kanati for it, still.

Bobysait(Posted 2006) [#14]
Really many thinks ! I needed this lib for a professionnal tool !

So you saved me :)
Now, i just have to mail Kanati to ask him about the license agreement.

I repeat, Many Thanks !!!

Per the accompanying documentation:

DONATIONWARE

This library is free. No restrictions and no little “gotchas”. Use it however you like. What I do ask, is that if you use it, please give me credit in your program for it’s printing routines. And if you would like, any donations via paypal will be more than welcome to estout@.... Again, neither of the above requests are required and the userlib is entirely free. My donation back to the blitz community.

Bobysait(Posted 2006) [#16]
Alright Thanks.

Now is time to use, then will be the time for donations ;)

mostly. :)

Sorry for 5 year bump - I dont suppose anyone has the lib & decls for this anymore do they?

Kryzon(Posted 2012) [#21]
All the links I had, including that of BlitzBasement (quite a nice little blitz web corner) are 404'ed.

We do, however, have the privilege of using Wayback machine (copy the entire URL):
http://web.archive.org/web/20100317033640/http://www.blitzbasement.net/bank/blitzprinteruserlib.zip

(Taken from http://web.archive.org/web/20100317033640/http://www.blitzbasement.net/downloads/downloads.html)

Kanati's own website is also stored, featuring a few modules:
http://web.archive.org/web/20081208010638/http://www.radioactivegamer.com/Blitz/

But in there, the B3D\B+ printer userlib isn't snapshot, just the BlitzMax version - maybe you can port it to B3D if the one from BlitzBasement doesn't work? I'm sure it's just a matter of creating the .DECLS for the VB6 runtimes included.

Addi(Posted 2012) [#22]
For what do I need BlitzPrinter?
I have a problem, after I installed all the files(for BlitzData) and wanted to test them Blitz3D said that it could not find the userlib.

Make sure the DECLS and DLL are both in \userlib, and place an extra copy of the DLL in System32 just to be safe.

Also, if you make an app using userlibbed DLLs you need to distribute the DLLs in the same folder as the EXE.

Addi(Posted 2012) [#24]
I have put both in the userlib-folder but it do not work.
Maybe I should put it in the sys32-folder too. I am going to try it out tomorrow.
