Heres and picture from OSM

It's Earth with the Moon orbiting and with Mars in the background.
The Earth has a rotating atmosphere.

This is from a map inluded in OSM.

As far as I know tex and objects are free.

Add your own textures/objects and OSM loads them at the start.

Universe and this aren't comparable anyway, Universe makes 2D images.

This is a 3D space maker.

You can take snapshoots with the P key.

how do I make it start up a 800x600x16

I put that in the .ini file but it still says 'cant create 3d scene'

Delete your current ini file.
Try to change the options in the program, then restart!

Should work!
