The screenshots look great.

I'd almost rather gargle with glass than say what I'm going to say, but...

You're a really talented guy Dave!

GfK(Posted 2004) [#3]
:P

Psionic is mostly responsible for the way it looks! I am proud of the way it all 'hangs together' though.

JustLuke(Posted 2004) [#4]
If only I had known that before I'd posted! I feel far more comfortable praising Psionic than you.

I've always enjoyed a game of tennis so I'm looking forward to playing this. A highly illegal warez copy of course. I'm not about to start filling your pockets with my hard earned cash!

Genexi2(Posted 2004) [#5]
Looks like GabrielKnight47 is goin' to have some competition from the looks of things....

Nice lookin btw, only thing that bothers me is how bright the grass is compared to everything else.....but then thats just me.

Kuron(Posted 2004) [#6]
I will definitely be buying this game and anime tennis babes.

po(Posted 2004) [#7]
Huh? I didn't know that you can play tennis on grass!

Ruz(Posted 2004) [#8]
Looks nice , but it would be cool to see some shadows from the barriers cast on the grass. It looking very bright all over right now.

Jeppe Nielsen(Posted 2004) [#9]
Looks nice, like the sign "DrinkDeuce" :)

(tu) sinu(Posted 2004) [#10]
@po you been living under a rock?

Ruz(Posted 2004) [#11]
'Huh? I didn't know that you can play tennis on grass!'

Well you can, but it may slow your reactions down.

Yan(Posted 2004) [#12]
Do think that's why it's called Lawn Tennis?...Hmmm...

YAN

Caff(Posted 2004) [#13]
Huh? I didn't know you could play tennis with balls.

Looking good Gfk. ;)

po(Posted 2004) [#14]
I have never heard the term Lawn Tennis. Normal people call it just Tennis! I have only seen tennis courts on concrete. I have heard of lawn bowling though! I think the real name for it is "Boche Ball". It's such an old fogey sport.

Yan(Posted 2004) [#15]
Are those 'normal' people the same ones that call football, soccer, by any chance?

Tennis
Lawn Tennis

;o)

Looking good GFK/Psionic BTW :o)

YAN

(tu) ENAY(Posted 2004) [#16]
Looking great Dave.

Wiebo(Posted 2004) [#17]
Nice, Dave! And Psionic!

po(Posted 2004) [#18]
I don't know why I call football soccer. soccer should be called football. And football should be calles throwball.

GfK(Posted 2004) [#19]
'nother one. With more grass in it.

Tracer(Posted 2004) [#20]
Looking NICE! .. but indeed, the grass IS a little on the bright side.

Tracer

GfK(Posted 2004) [#21]
Yeah but its intentional - you find in tennis that grass courts do tend to look very 'bright':

Caff(Posted 2004) [#22]
I think it's a little too fluorescent. Try raising the R and B vals by 10 and lowering the G by 5 in photoshop and repost.

:P

joncom2000(Posted 2004) [#23]
Fluorescent grass tennis, well at night you could carry on playing without flood lights :)

GfK(Posted 2004) [#24]
Dulled down the grass a bit, due to 'popular demand' ;)

fredborg(Posted 2004) [#25]
Better :) Only now it's slightly too bluish... I think this is nicer:

----
Hue -55
Saturation -32
Lightness +7
----
Brightness +13
Contrast +8

Richard Betson(Posted 2004) [#26]
Rich is hoping for more sexy tennis babes. Bikini mode? :)

L8r,

Ross C(Posted 2004) [#27]
That's some nice grass Fredborg :)

Ash(Posted 2004) [#28]
Yo GfK! Are those shadows real-time? I'm looking for a good way to do decent-looking, real-time shadows...

GfK(Posted 2004) [#29]
Yo GfK! Are those shadows real-time?
Kind of.

Load a second copy of the player mesh, colour it black, squash it flat, and animate in the same way as the player model itself.

Might be a bit poly-intensive depending on implementation, but with a couple of fairly low-poly tennis players, its not a problem, its fast, and looks good as well. :)

big10p(Posted 2004) [#30]
Yes, Fredborg's grass is 'right'! ...IMO :)

Warren(Posted 2004) [#31]
Who cares? It's grass. Let it go...

(tu) sinu(Posted 2004) [#32]
we, potential customers care :)

siread(Posted 2009) [#33]

siread(Posted 2009) [#35]
Looks cool but I was kinda hoping for a demo. No worries. :)

GfK(Posted 2009) [#36]
Oh.... they don't offer demos any more. I distinctly remember sending them one.

Looking at the half-arsed system requirements and lack of demo, its a wonder they sell anything:

OS: Windows 95/98/2000/Me/XP - Fair enough.
Processor: PentiumŪ III 500Mhz + - It'd be more of a slideshow than a game on that.
Memory: 64 MB - OK, you're just pulling numbers out of a hat now!
Hard disk space: 25 MB - I guess so.
Graphics: Not Specified - At least make an effort?!
Sound: Required - Yes you'll be needing some of this!
Product Details: - .....hello?

*(Posted 2009) [#37]
makes me laugh the requirements on their websites :)
