Ruz(Posted 2003) [#3]
wow looks great

RifRaf(Posted 2003) [#4]
wow.. thats top notch. I might have to get giles

eBusiness(Posted 2003) [#5]
So, how much is Gile[s], and how much is work? Seems interesting.

Dynamo(Posted 2003) [#6]
It's like 33.33 Euro if you order by the end of the year I think... Then it goes up to 39.99 Euro. Not sure of the Dollar price but it's really close to the Euro price, maybe a bit higher.

Filax: What did you model/texture your level in (if you don't mind me asking?)

jfk EO-11110(Posted 2003) [#7]
filax, looks nice, although I think this is a pretty tolerant interpretation of egyptian culture.

Anthony Flack(Posted 2003) [#8]
Well, you know, there is Egyptian Egyptian and then there's videogame Egyptian. See also - videogame Medievel, videogame Prehistoric and videogame feudal Japan. And honourable mention should also go to the new trend in videogame Outer Space - apparently not black as first thought, but actually more like a psychedelic rainbow.

Rob(Posted 2003) [#9]
It could be mummyvision or something.

Ross C(Posted 2003) [#10]
That looks awesome man! Nice textures and architecture too :)

Filax(Posted 2003) [#11]
The last version (see up)

Red(Posted 2003) [#12]
You become a Giles addicted :)

CyberHeater(Posted 2003) [#13]
Looking at that makes me come over all Indiana Jonesish...

Now where's my bull whip... :)

Rob(Posted 2003) [#14]
lovely actually

Filax(Posted 2003) [#15]
Thanks :)

Skitchy(Posted 2003) [#16]
My word. Pretty soon somebody around here is going to wipe the floor with the so called AAA games. They'll have to invent a new category. Maybe BAAA...A..A :)

Beautiful work Filax.

CyBeRGoth(Posted 2003) [#17]
Looks great!

Did you create the textures yourself?

jfk EO-11110(Posted 2003) [#18]
Guess they were made some thousand years ago - thanks god those guys didn't know what "copyright" means.

I like this new one more than the first one. Even more. Now filax, give us a playable game with this level. This would rock.

JoshK(Posted 2003) [#19]
Throw some static meshes in there of some statues and it would be killer.

Why not post those textures? They look great.

Mustang(Posted 2003) [#20]
Looking at that makes me come over all Indiana Jonesish...

I'd rather go Tomb Raiderish! :)

Great stuff Filax!

Rob(Posted 2003) [#21]
Thing I like about gile[s] is I can throw anything at it. That whole level is just exported from max and lightmapped in just a couple of clicks (if filax uses ASE for the lights).

TeraBit(Posted 2003) [#22]
Beautiful!

Rob Farley(Posted 2003) [#23]
That looks fantastic, I love the scale of it looking up, the towering columns, looks great!

Filax(Posted 2003) [#24]
No rob :) the lightning is make under Gile(s) because ASE import don't work with multisub texture for strange reason.

Dave(Posted 2003) [#25]
looks good. What about a demo?

Red Ocktober(Posted 2003) [#26]
... yeah, i'd like to walk around in there and experience the lighting effects 'first hand'

a simple walkaround would suffice :) thank you.

that's verrrry nice work filax, and gile[s] enchances the output dramatically...

Filax(Posted 2003) [#27]
Thanks :) demo coming soon

poopla(Posted 2003) [#28]
Filax, why the hell arent you working for someone and making $$$, or are you? :)

Gabor(Posted 2003) [#29]
Looks wonderful!

Filax(Posted 2003) [#30]
I'm a generous donator :) lol

Brandon(Posted 2003) [#31]
Awesome! I think I'll be getting Gile[s].

Dynamo(Posted 2003) [#32]
Just like halo offered, you could add some static meshes to that level and rival some of the UT2K3 levels.

Awesome :)

patisawesome(Posted 2003) [#33]
That is cool! You should create a demo! Can you give me some of the tex?
-me

ErikT(Posted 2003) [#34]
Beautiful stuff. Give us a level to go sightseeing in, will ya?
