TECNO - a few more screenshots, more in-game videos

Community Forums/Showcase/TECNO - a few more screenshots, more in-game videos

Hi everybody,
just to tell you there are a few more screenshots and 5 new small videos @ the website.

Videos show
- some "game playability",
- an enemy encounter (this is a scene I was testing the other day)
- the 23 seconds long, show a little of the in-game main menu and an in-game "puzzle"
and
- one of the game vehicles (the "Neo-Explorer" :)

As you will see,
this game is going to have a lot of Matrix 1,2,3 "subtle references" :)
but I believe the "game atmosphere" still remains a little unique in a FPS.

Go here, 'TECNO - Inside the Base'

bye!!!
Paolo.

wow...

... it's getting even better.

(heading to your site now to view the movies :) )

[added] The movies look great... looks like you're really enjoying working with Blitz3D.

One thing P... if you are planning on releasing Tecno commercially, I'd stay away from any direct, or even indeirect references to The Matrix and the characters or situations therein... this can only cause you difficulties in the long run. Your game doesn't need em anyway, it can stand on it's own... from what I've seen so far.

Looks really great! Can't wait to try it out (even though I normally hate FPS games :)

Looks really cool!
Can't play the videos though, WinPlayer just says "connecting", but nothing is coming down the pipe...

Looks like you are hosting it on a modem :)

I think its just very VERY slow.

I tried to "Save as..." after having the same problem, and it started to download, but at 980bytes/sec.

I managed to get video4 (took about half an hour), looks pretty good :)

Thanks all!

Arrrrrrrgh, this "website problems" are getting into my nerves. I'm not interested right now on having a site for the game since I only want to show some small material... but it is a pity the videos are so slow to download...

Would it be faster downloading at Angelfire? I can transfer all the files easily so...

@Mike,
you make me worry about it.
Basically I'm only using some backgrounds sounds and sounds effect (shots, explosions) from the movie, nothing more... , do you think it could be a problem...?, I'm not coming so far to get sue because... :)

Later!
Paolo.

Yeah... Really good. Get the demo out!

andy_mc(Posted 2003) [#12]
look great, is it just you developing it? Looks like a team effort, very professional looking too. You got it signed up by anyone yet?

Murphy(Posted 2003) [#13]
this is really great!!!

in what are the levels made?
can we hope on a demo level soon?

Red Ocktober(Posted 2003) [#14]
Andy, Gfk... right click and save target as...

... then view it locally.

Paolo... i prefer to err on the cautious side. That 'Neo-Cruiser' is just askin' for trouble...

Of course it's your call in the long run :)

@Telesto,
Yep, me alone working in this game :),
do you mean if anyone bought it? nope, it is not for sale yet.

@LethalDose50
Level are made in 3D Max R3, and lightmappeds with Lightbulb.
I'm actually looking if it will be possible to join some pieces for a small demo, but I can't guarantee...

@Mike
You may be right, I will see to make any modification where is possible.

Later!
Paolo.
