There is a specific order in which a proper rocket-jump is performed.

1) You should be moving forward. It is easier to over shoot and shoot more rockets to repel yourself backwards than it is to go straight up in the air and fall back where you landed.

2) Jump before you shoot! Both jumping and explosions will increase your vertical velocity, but you can't jump if you're already off the ground.

3) Look down all the way when shooting.

So to review, look down, press forward, press 0 on the number pad, then mouse button, and you're well on your way to hours of successful rocket-jumping.

I made it to the top! I haven't enjoyed a game so much since Super Mario Bros. 3.

I've made it to the top dude! That was pretty fun, but I'm sure it would be better from your perspective. I would be proud of the physics gameplay had I created :) This is kinda like when I first created the physics for Aerial Antics I would fly around and kick the ball all over for fun. Of course others will enjoy the finished polished game much more, but in this case it was still a good fun challenge.
