Hi everyone!
Just wondering if some of you would mind testing the framerates vs system specs on this program. Here's a screen shot:

Anyway, you can download the program here.. To get to the "main" part of the game, click Single Player, and then Load Game (on the right of the menu).

There's not much gameplay to it yet, because I've been working on movement code and modelling and animating my characters, but I want to check framerates, because I'm pushing quite a few characters on the screen at the same time. This is before I've added shadows, particles, etc. Basic controls are arrow keys to move the camera, and mouse button to select/deselect a character, or move them to another square. Framerates and polys are printed in the upper left corner.

Anyway, for those that can help out, thank you!!

On my 1.4 GHz Athlon, 512 MB RAM, 64 MB GeForce3 Ti200, Win 98SE system, I get these frame rates when following your directions:

640x480: 55 average at high altitude (way above the board); 72 average at low altitude (down near the board)

1024x768: 42 average regardless of altitude

1600x1200: 30 at high altitude; 20 at low altitude

Looks like an interesting neo-chess game.
