M-ASL is a WW2 infantry game with MGs,Leaders,SupportWeapons(Granaides) Phased based like ASL sort of thing, its free 2D hex&chit, more complex because of HMGs, you get to control large stacks, giving targets in a stack for any shot, this allows you to fire at what you want and from where you want , one stack could fire at 8 different targets, thi UI is more hard because of the extra detail to move in 8 different wats or fire in 8 different ways per stack. the phases are turn-based Ive included a Hotseat version aswell allowing you to play both sides with enforced rules, and its great fun The game has evolved into a really good and deep strategy game, Melee a stack to shake units before they can attack you, or create large stacks to fend off melee but large stacks are bad against ranged fire, push your leaders to help in attacks use grenades and MGs to add the firepower. the game is free https://www.dropbox.com/s/7cnysrue7rd6ttf/MAS11.zip?dl=0 MASL now has TANKs! https://www.dropbox.com/s/c2xi2qtdnsxh8ac/MASL20.zip?dl=0 Ive done lots in this probably final version, first off ARMOR has been made a priority target to the A.I. so if a tank can fire at another tank its likely to shoot but has the option to choose a soft target if it thinks best, ATGs will fire at armor, infantry will melee a tank if it gets close enogh. all the game settings are now in a file , so you can set the firepower movement points and strength of each unit, you can also set the tanks fireing range. Ive also made a crude scenario builder, so you can output a scenario file. |

I have experimented with tablet functionality, and have solved the left and right clicking system, the program now has a mouse-shift function, what this means is you can press a shift button to change the left-clicks to right-clicks and use untill you want to shift back, this allows me to use my surface pro 3 with no pen or mouse, I kid you not this wargame is great on a tablet. you can just double tap with your finger for all functions https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Bwg1l-y33WTRU19Zb00tc25wcnM/view?usp=sharing |

On a tablet you often do not have "shift buttons". In my game (TVTower) I implemented "long press" to simulate right clicks. you need your own "MouseHit()/MouseDown().." evaluator then (a "click" is if a mouse was down and is now up... if it was down for longer than XXX milliseconds, it was a "long press" and could get evaluated as "right click") bye Ron |
