Blitz3d? Yes sir! the one and only. haven't even begun to count how many lines of code including libs and all that. a LOT. Tree creator program? treemagik or whatever it's called. just placeholders. i can model...just can't do it all. HUD? Text is from draw3d. there's really not a fancy "hud" yet. inventory hud is from morduun's inventory routine but I have tweaked the heck out of it. took me around a month to wrap my head around that one. White dots (magic) effects? devil particle system. again...tweaked. Inspired by? Everquest and DAoC. Yep...you guessed it. Yes I am a lib junkie but have no intentions of reinventing the wheel so I use what I have acquired over the years. |

However for this kind of gameplay i have a suggestion for you : take a look at the combat system of this game (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B3AJW1pLz70&t=01m02s), there is a way to have a critical hit if you press the right key at the right moment, you may want a similar possibility in your game... |

Yeah this is based on multiplayer combat logic. Solo play is boring this way but I don't like turn-based combat so I'm stuck with it. The only way out of this is to have AI teammates or wrap in a UDP lib which I am pretty sure is a huge undertaking...and mistake. |

This seems more turn based gameplay (like baldure's gate) than realtime (like diablo)... |

I'm referring to the Final Fantasy turn based style. Mine is real-time more or less as far as turns go. They are based on weapon delay, level, strength, weapon damage, etc. |

Well, for an UDP library to make it multiplayer, I know someone out there(Flanker) is actually very helpful and trying to fill that gap, so perhaps soon you still may be able to incorporate that - fingers crossed. |

Another video. Finally got the "gate" spell done, swimming and started on the UI functions. noticed recording the video made the particle effects last longer...so I guess I need to move that into a different loop. https://youtu.be/Icv_O7UXHIA |
