Hurrah! My first totally independent game on Steam (some others are on there from working with Big Fish Games and Klei Entertainment).

It's a pretty big deal for me to finally get on there. I used skidracers SteamStub library to add achievements to the game.

Now, let's hope I sell a few copies ;-)

If you have bought it elsewhere and want a key, email me.

If you buy it, please leave a nice review, thanks! :-)

congrats

Congratulations Jake! I couldn't wait to vote for Regency Solitaire when I heard it was on Greenlight back in January. I am the proud owner of all your game creations to date from Big Fish, Regency Solitaire is my favourite card game and Spooky Bonus is my favourite match 3, this is great news!

Thanks Panno!

Wow thanks Braxton, that's awesome! Yeah I think those two latest games are my best too.

Well done mate! :)

Congrats Jake!

I know you have been working hard trying to get onto Steam!

How was the entire process?

Grey Alien(Posted 2015) [#7]
Thanks!

Well apart from Greenlight marketing and post launch marketing, I spent 21 hours getting skid's SteamStub lib working and coding the achievements (and making graphics), setting up the Steam store and marketing images they require and so on. So I guess not too bad but way more than just firing off a build to a new portal (although that often also requires a contract reading, signing, scanning etc).

Congrats Jake ;)

Congratulations Jake. 21 hours is nothing, I thought it would have taken you much more ;-)

skidracer(Posted 2015) [#11]
Congrats Jake!

Thanks! Giant Bomb just did a quick look video about it too. It's great!

Haha, that is great...Always good to see guys not giving their software away for free in the indie/casual game market - and being successful!

And now Boing Boing! http://boingboing.net/2015/05/28/this-fresh-romantic-take-on-s.html

Thanks Steve!

Nice!

Xerra(Posted 2015) [#16]
21 hours to code in all the Steam stuff but you should be able to half the time for the next game now you know what you're doing :)

Steve Elliott(Posted 2015) [#17]
What skidracer said :)

Added trading cards to the game, and also this week it's in the Steam Sale! Hope it makes some $ so we can have a decent budget for the next game.

Grey Alien(Posted 2015) [#19]
we just launched the Mac version on Steam and did a big update including proper widescreen support at player's desktop resolution. Plus it's on sale 25% off this week, so check it out!

Ooh, we got a mention in Metro (free newspaper in the UK with huge distribution, people read it on the tube) as part of a piece about which games Felicia Day has been playing - previously she had tweeted about playing our game for 32 hours according to Steam :-)
