Ive Invested some spare time on creating this Notepad similar.
but with some extra features.

Like:
'StayOnTop' makes the notepad stay on top
'Refresh Text' Which is good for situations where the current opened text
is being modified externally.
'Goto text Folder' Takes you to the text folder (if you closed it)

More simple Addons will be added (Ideas are welcome)

The goal is to keep it light as notepad is but add extra features
that I personaly needed.
Im gonna keep it light so it will load as fast as windows notepad.

many things are still not implemented like print.. undo...
but i invest an hour a day for this little project.

It may grow to be something more interesting that i plan but it will always remain simple and fast.

for now its not a replacement to notepad since it lakes stuff as i mentioned.
but feel free to check it out from my dropbox. https://www.dropbox.com/sh/1u0e3xjmgw78yko/CSUNG9vAnH

p.s I also have a hierarchy idea i might add

I guess if you really want to do it for s**ts and giggles, that's fine. If you just want a program like Notepad, that does the stuff you mentioned above, then you should get Notepad++. It's free, and it's brilliant.

Im aware of notepad++
I do it for more then one reason.
one of them is learning. + i can develope this
towords more then one direction.

Also do they have refresh option in notepad++?
Its a small issue but i need it

Polan(Posted 2013) [#5]
notepad++ has the refresh option. If source is modified from outside it will ask you if you want to reload it.

Hardcoal(Posted 2013) [#6]
Great, Ill start using it.
But ill keep working on my notepad, why not..
Not trying to compete with notepad++ or something, I just have my Ideas to come..

I use pspad myself. (It also notifies you when a file changed, with the option to reload the updated version)

There's probably over 100 different kinds of editors out in the web; You can
download them, and get ideas from them, and duplicate some of their ideas.

I like the way you created brand new words (by combining these together)::
'ExtraCommands', 'StayOnTop', 'GotoFolder'.

Stayfocusedandnicework!

I'llsubscribetothis.

Combining words is a habbit from programming.
Also i like the look of it.
The germans and deutch are masters at combining words.
Making there luangauge looks far more impressive then it is.

Munchebullshtstrass shmunchenstrass etc..

Then why not me ;)
