Is there anything on the mobile dev scene for developing gui based apps, in a similar vain to MaxGUI? I'm just curious as to what the solutions might be, even if; they're not suitable for Monkey, would be suitable with the right glue/bindings (even if I had to write them), or if they're on the horizon and not ready today. I've just read an article on the power of the next version of the galaxy tab and these devices are really looking like viable port targets for my current MaxGUI based project. |

Theres a few community based GUI systems out at the moment, the most complete I guess is Challenger GUI. Chris has even created a GUI editor which exports a .monkey file. http://www.monkeycoder.co.nz/Community/posts.php?topic=2767 Diddy also has a GUI system (well its got two, but ones really simple): http://code.google.com/p/diddy/source/browse/#svn%2Ftrunk%2Fsrc%2Fdiddy%2Fgui If you are talking about pure native GUIs, then thats a whole different ball game... |

Challenger GUI looks impressive- it even runs well on my phone. I was thinking of pure native stuff though. If and when the time comes I may plump for Android or Apple and just write a native app. |
