The above is a guide for setting a vm up to run osX, I was wondering if anyone is actually actively using this as opposed to actually being forced to buy a mac to compile on, and if you are doing it like this, whats your feedback ?

I set up a VM using VirtualBox. It's really, really slow and has a few bugs, due I suppose to OSX not being intended for use that way.

Never even got as far as the iOS simulator - I dread to think how slow that is. Some people have also reported bugs in compiled programs, so it might not be a good option for compiling cross-platform code either.

If you intend to make money from your Xcode projects, save yourself the trouble. Better to get a cheap Mac off eBay or from a refurbished-Mac store.
