Monkey Image Filtering Question

In BlitzMax it is possible to disable the smoothing of images when they are scaled up (FILTERED=FALSE when loading them), is this possible in Monkey? I cannot see a way but may have missed something?

Thanks for any help.

Jason.

I was wondering this too.

I was searching for that too but sadly so far you can't.

So is there any way to scale up low-res graphics and keep the "pixelated" look in monkey?

taumel(Posted 2011) [#5]
You have to scale them up in your gfx software before, so instead of a 16x16 sprite with SetScale 2,2 you save the image at 32x32 already.

This is something that I really hope gets added as otherwise you loose that retro look completely. It would be nice to hear what plans Mark has for Mojo in the the near future. Maybe someone could ask on the official Monkey site as I do not have access to it at present.

Jason.

Taumel, that's an option, but it totally loses all the "perks" of low res graphics such as fast loading time, etc..

How hard could it be to change this ourselves? I know that images, by default, usually scale without resampling. So somewhere along the line something's being added that can be removed?
