Java in/install woes

| Recently java updated itself to 7.9 or something but fell over at the actuall install stage, leaving me without java or more specifically minecraft the only reason I knowingly need java. Web site says uninstall then reinstall via a full download rather than the fetch from net version. Did that same error (typing on phone so not exactly sure what error), but when I uninstall the only java reference in add/remove programs or the vista equivalent, yet it remains haunting my pc. I even sent the java folder to the recycle bin and tried un/installing again, no joy so I restored the folder to see if there was an uninstall package, nope. Any ideas? Didn't see an older version download Vista os as stated |

| if you have the java icon in control panel, you can select somewhere in there which java version to use - so you can actually go back to the last working version in your system. Last edited 2012 |

| Managed to track donw a version 6 of java on their website, wasnt in your face and why v6 not 7.last but one? anyhows I'm up and running again but that uninstaller is still there hey ho. |
