Where would you sell your games?

If anyone knows of websites, businesses, or etc where they would recommend taking their finished product to if they wanted to sell it, get a good royalty, etc to could you post it here? I want to try and make a game I can sell but I am clueless as to where to go with it once its done. I have good ideas and the tools, time and talent to just about make em, but no idea where to go with em then. Any thoughts?
Also, I have a tool for programmers that might actually be useful, so where would I put it? Its a Menu builder, I know there's probably allot out there but I live in hope that someone might find it useful. Its meant to be used before you compile your project, it creates buttons, scroll bars, text boxes, input bars, etc which you then go into code to fill and make useful.
