Can anyone suggest some good fonts?

It's all in the title. One of my biggest problems with designing game UIs is finding fonts; I can never seem to nail it with a font that's stylish, visually suited and easy to read.

If you're wondering what kind of font I'm looking for: honestly, I don't know. The game I'm working on is a casual-type, not gonna bother with details but it involves colourful crystals, spacescape backgrounds and the like. Sleek, glowy fonts could work, as could cartoonish ones... Honestly, font browsing is the only thing I hate more than hunting for sound effects. Care to help a bloke out?

Valve used to be (probably still are) big fans of DIN 1451. It's a very good one to use when you want the content to be the only thing the reader notices.

One of my favourites is also ProgFont. It's both alien and very readable! (Set it as your Blitz font for some hilarity)

Neither of those are really what you asked for but then I don't know fonts much either.

What on EARTH are you smoking, I can hardly make heads or tails of it XD

DIN looks to be good though, with a little GIMP-ing I bet I can make it decently attractive.

I'm very font (rimshot) of the Aller font family. I'm using it for my game and the quality is generally excellent.

Y'really need to read more carefully, Wicker mate.

font browsing is the only thing I hate more than hunting for sound effects.

It's not that I don't know where to look for fonts, it's that the actual browsing of the font sites turns my brain into something that fairly closely resembles porridge.

... I mean more so than usual. ¬ ¬

in that case, I would just use the default Blitz font. Times New Roman, Verdana, Ubuntu font family, CRAZY LOOT, Digital clock....

I don't like hunting for fonts. So I use font forge or photoshop so I don't have to worry about any licensing issues and with a little work I get the font I want.
