Krylar's book is not available to buy now. Shame, I bet he's missed out on quite a few sales. I would buy a copy anyway. He's got a book for Purebasic now "Programming 2D scrolling games" judging by these pages the contents are roughly the same as "Learn to program 2d games in BlitzBasic" http://content.gpwiki.org/index.php/Programming_2D_scrolling_games http://www.gamedev.net/topic/108719-my-book-released-for-2d-programming-in-blitz-basic/ Also this page gives some corrections to the book http://membres.multimania.fr/blitzcoder/booksnafus.html and there's a link to a tutorial by Krylar "Handling Sprites on Scrolling Tiled Backgrounds with Collisions" which is an archive site for Blitzcoder (bad color scheme thou :P) http://membres.multimania.fr/blitzcoder/ Last edited 2011 |

Reading this topic (Game Programming for Teens Third Edition) iprice says the 3rd edition is actually for B3D not BMax whereas the blurb suggests it is BMax. I checked the book sample and it is B3D but maybe it is a copy of 2nd edition? I've ordered it anyway and will post back here when I'm sure. |

Just to say I got GPFT3E (Game Programming for Teens 3rd Edition) today and I can confirm it is for BMax. Also it has a CD attached with source which I really appreciate. Good book! Last edited 2012 |

thanks for the update |

Krylar's tutorials really helped me get going back in the B2D days. I loved Blitzcoder and when I got up to speed I wrote some tutorials there myself. |

Cripes, Maneesh isn't messing about these days! http://maneeshsethi.com/about/ [EDIT: He of "GPFT3E".] Last edited 2012 |

He sounds like a right pr$#k on there. |

@MarkCW: Krylar hosts all his BlitzCoder tutorials and content here: http://www.krylarskreations.com/bc That french website with the BC tutorial repository, although accurate, does not store each article's content in its entirety - just the text. |

hmm in Manesh's 'about' page he said he had a monthly segment on TechTv, but he was only on there once for an interview! |
