I like GIMP (its an open source Art package). However recently it started hanging on sinus.exe and shift .exe. Deleting these two plug ins has resolved the problem and its running again- yay!

Has anyone experienced a similar issue recently?

Phew! I worried this thread was going to be about something completely different. :P

I'm glad you were worried, better than being dissapointed you couldn't offer help with my Bruce Willis version of a GIMP

Ummmmmmm... This is just a shot in the dark, but... Wouldn't this thread be better off... on a forum for the GIMP??

@Adam, I was using it to make buttons for my B3D app, but yeah I get your point. Ho hum.

Never had any problem with "stable" gimp releases on lin win or osx....

(actually it is crap on OSX because you need 2 mouseclicks to do anything, but still it "works")

Only thing i can suggest is remove it and re-install the latest.. If that fails try the previous to the one you have.

If it still fails try re-installing (or updating) gtk for windows.

@D4NM4N,

tried that option first - didn't work though.

Didn't consider the gtk nuance though - thanks for the suggestion!

Was using GIMP this evening to create a cross grid for my lat and long plotter thingy.
