TV to VGA - how to ?

All,

I have a "karaoke machine" which has a rather small TV screen, where the song lyric are shown.

I would like to use a bigger screen to show the text; since I have a flat LCD VGA monitor, I need to convert/adapt a TV-out signal to a VGA one.

Is there any cheap adapter cable / signal converter I could use ?

Thanks in advance,
Sergio.

You need a AD converter. Basically a TV tuner which you can get for any CRT/LCD monitor will do.

It is probably about the same price to buy a cheap flatscreen TV to be honest as video DACs and ADCs can be pretty expensiv, unless you build your own of course.
(eg. we have a 32" one in local shop on sale for 50 quid with VGA, coax and composite inputs :D)

Although it is nice to recycle!
here's one from scart to vga: http://www.maplin.co.uk/scart-to-vga-syncblaster-cable-37141

Or if you want everything:

(discontinued at maplin but maybe you can get it elsewhere... anyway, its this sort of ma-bobby that you need)
