I've recently had a problem with my computer, where the mouse pointer is not showing the standard pointer - but a hand instead.

This causes problems when using websites, because I can't put information into comment boxes or drag and copy text.

I'll have another google on this, but I don't know what caused it, and it's annoying me now.

Dunno what caused it but did you try Control Panel>>Mouse>>Pointers>>Default?

have you tried other browsers?

try a system restore back a few weeks. You won't lose any data, it just does system settings.

Tried all those things apart from another browser - quite happy with this one thanks.

Even deleted all cookies and temp internet files. Still no luck.

Is this all the time or just within the browser? If the latter you might try reinstalling the browser.

If it's just within the browser then it might be some adware/spyware that takes the whole window...

Have you checked your settings in windows explorers Folder Options to see if it's been set to Single-click to open an item?

Also, try disabling accessibility settings in windows.

%WINDIR%\system32\utilman.exe /start

Oops. Turns out there's a 'panning hand' icon on my browser, and that was turned on.
