wmplayer.exe prevents installation

| I'm having this annoying problem which happens when installing some games; wmplayer.exe decides to start reading from the dvd drive in the background and this prevents the game from installing. Besides closing wmplayer in the task manager, is there any easier way to fix this? Last edited 2010 |

| Sounds like an autoplay issue. Right click the DVD drive letter - select properties - then the Autoplay tab - you'll have to reset something there. Note: that there are multiple options in the list box thing (whatever it is called) - all of mine are set to 'Prompt me each time to choose an action' - I assume you have something set to Autoplay. |
