Has anyone here been in the situation where by they need to print extremely large (0.8 meter by 2 meters) graphics? For my work, I'm getting graphics together for a vertical banner, but the printer has said they will only take eps format, which is fine. I'm using a vector drawing application anyway, Xara.

My main question I suppose, I have used bitmaps in my vector drawing, as I don't have the time to trace the complex Royal Warrant logo, amoungst others. And if anyone has any tips, that'd be great :D

Cheers!

There are some bitmap-to-vector converters, like this:

I think I used this before with great success:
http://autotrace.sourceforge.net/

It's called autotrace and is a command line tool.

Thanks guys. They are far better than the bitmap tracer that comes with Xara... I had a few problems with transparent elements in the eps format, so I just had to remove them. It seemed to hold bitmaps in it too, so... seemed ok :)
