Confiker Worm/Svchost.exe Problem

Hey everyone!

I'm having some weird Internet problems, that I think might
be connected to the Confiker worm.

A couple of weeks ago, my Antivirus Nod32 blocked the Confiker
worm from entering my computer. Then a day later, it blocked it
once again, and then a third time an hour or two later. After that
I got a bit suspicious, that it must be somewhere in my computer,
so I ran 2 Anti-maleware programs and sure enough, MalewareBytes
found 3 pieces of the Confiker virus, hidden away at C:/system32/x. one of them were called Confiker.AM worm, the other two were
called Confiker.Gen worm.
So I cleaned those, and didn't have any more Confiker appearances
for several days, although now my Internet seems messed up.
About half the time when I start my system, I get an error message
that Generic Host Win32 Process, Svchost.exe had to close due
to an error. The other half of the time I get this same error message
after I've already been online for awhile. After getting this message
my Internet usually disconnects and I have to restart my system
before it will work again. If I try to reconnect before restarting my
system, it says the port is already in use.

Today, Nod32 blocked the Confiker worm once again, although I
ran a spyware check and found nothing.

Do any of you know what I can do to fix this, and if the Confiker
worm might still be in my computer?

Thanks,

[edit] I got disconnected again, right before I posted this [/edit]

Havent read all of your post, have you tried MS' Security Essentials?

Nope. I 'think' I got the problem fixed though by downloading some Security Updates from Microsoft. Immediately after posting this, I googled
around for a bit on how to fix both the Internet problem, AND Conficker.

You may be best off searching the likes of Norton, McAfee, Trend Micro or Grisoft websites for a specific removal tool.
