Cheap software site?

Community Forums/General Help/Cheap software site?

Hey, i'm looking for Adobe After Effects CS4, for PC, and i've came across this site:

http://www.horizonsoft.co.uk/c3-after-effects.aspx

Does this look legitimate? I personally don't trust it... I dunno what it is, but it doesn't look ... right?

Anyone had any experience with this site? Or can any suggest a site that sells cheap software, legally?

If it sounds too good to be true, it generally is.

That said, Adobe is one of those companies that charges a LOT more in the UK than in other countries, like the US -- so it's possible that these are 'grey' imports, where the reseller buys them directly in the US and resells in the UK, instead of following Adobe's official retail channels.

But given that Adobe pretty much sets their own prices in stone, you'll find little variation in pricing across vendors.

for some US mainstream outlets for software, check newegg.com and amazon.com (no idea what their policies are regarding international shipping and/or non-US creditcards, though)

Yeah, £900 for the full price on amazon.co.uk seems to be what i'm seeing most. I'll def check amazon.com though. I generally try to buy video camera and anything expensive from abroad. Although i've been hit with a £95 customs fee before and some VAT charges...

Thanks for your input though.
