detect when a sound file breaks a threshold. The reason for this was I made a velocity measuring application within BlitzBasic 2.1 a while ago (on slightly older hardware, erm the Amiga 1200) which could extrapolate bicycle velocity from sound on a magnetic tape.

The code below, in conjunction with the Bass.dll file is the first step on a (hopefully) not too protracted path to realising my project on the PC.

I dabbled with Peripheral Interface Controllers & assembler a while back, but the effort expended was unproportianate to the gratification. Can't say the same for Blitz apps. Anyway heres the code, navigate to the toolbox for the exceptional bass.dll
