Ebay error, and Ebay Technical support is useless!

Hey everyone!

I like to sell stuff on ebay to bring in a bit of extra cash.

Only problem is, recently I've started experiencing a weird
problem with it.

I can sell items just fine, except when it comes to the item
description.

When I begin typing out my item description, the instant that
I stop typing, then all my previously typed text 'saves' and none
of the text that I type after that will save when I go on to the
next page. It will just revert to the previously saved text which
is usually just the first few lines of the description.

I have managed to get around this to an extant, by typing out
my item description in wordpad, and then copying it into the
ebay description window, but I can't change any of the text so
if there was an error, or I want to add more, I have a problem :(

The text does seem to change if I erase all of it though, so if I have
a typo I want to fix, then I have to erase all my text, edit my text
in wordpad, and copy it back over.

So I can still sell things, but its annoying.

Ebay support first says that its likely my browser not accepting
cookies(Which it IS accepting them), and now says its probably
that I don't have java enabled.(Which once again, IS enabled).

Is there anything that anyone can think of that might be causing
the problem?

I have windows XP, service pack 2, dial up internet, and opera
web browser. My personal guess is that ebay is remodeling their
site again, because last time that happened I couldn't sell items
for a month.

Thanks in advance,

WERDNA

Try deleting your cookie(s)? It's possible that you got some corrupted info in your ebay cookie throwing things off.

Maybe try a different browser?

Ah, gotta love standard responses being thrown at you. You know it's so you get fed up, give up and they don't have to bother with you any more, don't you?

Anyways, I second the different browser motion. Using Iron, I've noticed 2 websites so far that don't interact properly. Use IE just to set up the description I suppose.

Clear your browsers cache.

Try using the other hand to type ;)

Sorry, I've been to sick to do anything with ebay lately :(

I've tried cleaning cash and cookies, my guess is its the browser.
I'll use internet explorer next time I list something and see what
happens.

Thanks everyone!
