when I download some files of people who made the program and I open the winrar and I got the error saying like

The Archive is either in unknow format or damaged.

There is also another one which I download software of C++ Express and I double click C++ Express exe files and I get the error saying like

Is not a valid win32 application....

how can I fixed both as I never had that before

check your memory.

Sometimes downloads get corrupted, try again. If it's consistent, then maybe the actual hosted file is damaged, try finding a mirror site to download from.

I agree with Malice.

I have had this a few times with zip files. I kno the archive is ok because i can download it myself. I think it can be one of the following:
-corrupted source file (although not in my case)
-windows default system has some issues as well because sometimes a file works on vista SP1 but not on vista. Or it works on XP/Ubuntu but not vista or will sometimes work and sometimes not :/
-Different versions perhaps?
-A dodgy client connection, my mum has 3G in a crappy area of UK (its the best she can get, both landline and mobile!!) She always has problems with ZIP files.

My OS is Ultimate Vista

The Archive is either in unknow format or damaged.

The winrar zip I have download is Fine now and strange as I dont even know if I have FIXED it somehow!

I still get "Is not a valid win32 application...." as that need to be fixed!

I think Service pack 2 Vista could fixed it but I am not sure.
