| I downloaded this driver for my GeForce 8500 GT and now I can't run any program that is using DirectX. Well, I can, but the FPS is 28-33. OpenGL, however, I'm all the way up to 850-899 FPS. Anyone else getting this? |

| http://forums.nvidia.com/index.php?showtopic=99771 ^A thread pertaining to that driver version^ The drivers did get a good review here: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/video/display/geforce-driver-186-18.html I think it is getting to the point with older cards, that when you find a driver version that works for you, keep it and don't upgrade it. It appears that new driver versions are increasingly problematic with older cards and support for older versions of DX. |
