Lore-style maps?

Community Forums/General Help/Lore-style maps?

I'm likely using the wrong term for this, but i'm looking for a simple way to create a map with the old scroll-style to it.

for exmaple:

Is there a program to create such styles for maps, or is there just some kind of technique used in photoshop?

Ask D4NM4N... he made an incredible map like this, its somewhere in the Graphics Showcase. If I find a link I'll post.

There used to be software around like "Campaign Cartographer", but I dunno how up to date that is now.

For photoshop you can find tutorials [a=http://lenseschoice.blogspot.com/2007/10/photoshop-tutorial-ancient-map.html]HERE.[/a]

Campaign Cartographer sounds ideal.

They also seem to have this pack of elements, which would be very handy.

From what I can see, CC is £30 UK and the SS1 elements are £15, which is actually pretty reasonable for something so specialized. I might even treat myself, it looks like fun!

FWIW, you can sometimes find some good sales/bundles of Campaign Cartographer on the major RPG retailers like RPGNow, etc.
