Gday all.
I have b3d & am having problems with sprites/images in 2d. Every time i use "maskimage" i allways end up with blotches of color & an outline around the sprite i want to use. I am useing "The Gimp" to try & cleanup the images & every time i clean it up or change the color i am trying to mask i always get the same ugly outlines & blotches. I have done searches on the net but can't find anything. What i am wandering is what is the best way to cleanup a sprite/image, can someone help me out? And if anyone can offer any hints or tips about creating your own animated sprites that would be great.

Cheers.

Wasn't to sure where to post this so i thought here would be the best.

Do you save the sprites/images as .JPG files? Try using .BMP or (if you want to compress them) .PNG files.

As Marc said, try a lossless image compression format.

Also disable any form of antialiasing while editing your pictures.

Thanks for the help. It was the antialiasing that was the problem.
Cheers.
