Search bar vanished from amazon.co.uk home page?

| I went to amazon.co.uk this evening to buy a computer book, but couldn't find any way of searching for it. In fact, I could not find a way to search for *anything* as the search bar seems to have completely disappeared from the home page. Thinking it might be a Firefox issue I tried IE but got the same results. I also tried signing in first, but this made no difference. Have I missed something obvious or is it really no longer possible to search their site? |

| Yep - working for me too now - but between 1am and 2am this morning the whole of the topmost banner (containing "Search", "You're Account", "Basket" etc.) was missing on every page. Very odd. |

| I placed an order on amazon.com (US) this Monday. A little later I tried to cancel. For several hours all I got was "There's a problem displaying some of your orders right now." I was eventually able to cancel. It was only a $5 cable so not a big deal in any case. |
