Does anyone know what would cause this?

I installed firefox on my phone (samsung galaxy s4) a couple of weeks ago....and it ran fine at first. Other than pre installed software it is the only app ive installed on my device that was not written by me.

Since yesterday morning every few pages I visit (here and facebook mainly) via 4g (no wifi) it doesn't load the page and tells me I have no connection. However I can open pages with the phones factory installed browser with no problems.

Strangely I can wipe all data and force stop the firefox app and can then use it normally but within half a dozen uses it does it again.

I thought at first it was either a hardware issue at my end or a network issue with my provider but the fact I can use the standard browser suggests that is unlikely.

Clear cookies and history, just happened to me on a tablet, and solve it that way.

I would check if the web browser is not configured to go first to a proxy.

Then i would check if there is an anti malicious website plugin or app activated (it bans some ipa), and desactivate it.
