Someone I grew up with is starting a company making software for vr goggles. Not the cheap kind, the ones that have a screen for each eye. He asked if I could make some common meshes that could be used for just about anything someone would want to have in their world, but I said I didn't have time. I do have time though to write something up, and I thought I'd ask you guys if you want to help out too. Eventually I want to tell him to go to this thread and have there be a bunch of suggestions here from experienced people, so write a whole page if you want. The first thing that comes to mind for me is the scale would probably not need to be as magnified in a vr scene as it is in 3d games. Large expansive areas just seem right for when there's a character on the screen, but to feel so much like you're actually there the way 3d goggles would do, I think it would seem more natural to have a lot of small, connected areas instead.
