Mate or Cinnamon? Which is your preference and why? Which do you think will have the most longevity? Pros and Cons of each?

Cinammon for me. I think Mate is more lightweight if that's an issue, but even low end integrated graphics have the grunt to drive Cinammon these days.

I like mint KDE with plasma desktop and compiz. I prefer cinnamon though.

Thank you John and Wicker. I see much discussion on the love of Mint (and I like it myself), but never see much discussion on the pros and cons of Cinnamon and Mate and what people like about each one. It is a shame some articles aren't dedicated to discussing just this.
