I want to be able to play my dvd movies on my tablet without having to buy the movie again on the google play store. Can you recommend any software of quality either for Mac or Windows that can help me to convert my dvds to play on android samsung galaxy tablet? thanks in advance! |

Yup DVDFAB is awesome if all you need to do is rip your existing DVD's to disk then use the free version: http://www.dvdfab.com/hd-decrypter.htm Darkheart |

Yup DVDFAB is awesome if all you need to do is rip your existing DVD's to disk then use the free version: Does that free version watermark videos with the DVDfab logo? I seem to remember a free version I tried back along, did. |

It never did that to me, but I have been using a full version for ages, AFAIK no there is no water marking. Darkheart |

Yeah, I also have Handbrake but something put me off it. I forget what - it's been a while since I've done any ripping. |

Note that Handbrake won't on it's own decrypt DVD or Blu Ray discs. This is why IMHO DVDFAB HD Decrypter is better, everything is just there. Handbrake is a good free transcoder if that's what you need, I have used it for some things. The full version of DVDFAB is still the King overall. Darkheart |

Most of Samsung tablet supports reading mp4 files. So just convert your dvd movies to mp4 format then copy onto your tablet. If your DVDs are home-made without decryption, Handbrake handle the job well. Or you will need to use other alternative to rip your DVDs and encode to common format. I use AppGeeker DVD Ripper with good success. Most of DVDs I've been able to rip to my hard disk. http://www.appgeeker.com/convert/rip-dvd-to-mp4-mac.html BTW, if you like command line applications then FFmpeg works great too. |
