Hi everyone,

I've started random terrain, more than 1700 planets
are now available in the new game. I'm using
Perlin Noise as algorythm to produce
those terrains.

Terrains are colored with gradients according to
the height color from a range of 0 to 255.

I hope to get bigger terrains soon to
make the planets more realistics.

- 256 x 256 terrains, a
Color Map and A Height Map.

- Trees ( With leaves, Pines, Palms and littles bushes ),
great flowers fields may appear and Ennemies
may appear randomly on those
terrains.

- Bonus ( Candy Bones (100), Crescents (20), Golden Bones
and Silver Bones ( 5 Max ) ).

I have to look foward and find many
algorythms that may be used
for the game.

The game appeared on softpedia.com,
sourceforge.net and gamefront.com.

The version 10.37 is published on:
cnet.download.com. This game is
free and for everyone.

Candy in Space 3: Part 2: version 1.98, Trailer 4?

Seriously, WTF? Just give it a name.

TeaBoy(Posted 2013) [#5]
Bravo Xylvan! Looks good.

Your dedication for this title is inspirational. Perhaps, if you added an
educational element to it then you could definately start making some money by targeting children.

JustLuke(Posted 2013) [#6]
I'm not sure it's all that inspirational. It's just the same old broken stuff, over and over again, year upon year, without even a hint of improvement. Or am I missing something?

I'm working on Lights 5.45th version of:

Candy in Space III:
Part II, Another
Dogs Mission.

- Ufos floats in mid atmosphere
and may target Candy
and Noopy.

- I remastered
the clouds.

I have to watch my list of ideas in
order to continue this exciting game.

ImaginaryHuman(Posted 2013) [#8]
I like your stick-with-it-ness in spite of many many criticisms, Xylvan. It probably would help a lot of people though if you'd be less fine-grained in your version releases... like just wait until you have many more major changes implemented before you do a new release, otherwise it starts looking like you're `over excited` about very small changes and I think that's partly why a lot of people lose their patience with you. As end users we probably shouldn't be caring about version 2.57... more interested in like version 2 and version 3, and when you've added a whole new world, not just a few small features.? Anyway... take what people say with a grain of salt and carry on!

Xilvan(Posted 2013) [#9]
Due to the

Candy in Space
IV:
Messages from
the Galaxy.

and many other reasons, the game
Candy in Space III: Part II
will be available in
free version.

It will be online soon !

Who was John Galt?(Posted 2013) [#10]
Is Candy in the spaces IV like candy in space IIIpt2 with more bones? If so, count me in.

Xilvan(Posted 2013) [#11]
I'm presently uploading my games to a secret server,
I'll add them to xylvan2.freeheberg.com.

Every games are in their final form.

I estimate theres altmost 16
altmost different games.

Message to John Galt:
ok, I'll start soon !

I estimate that there is one game, with 16 names?

I estimate theres altmost 16
altmost different games.
Or to put it another way, 15 games that are nearly the same.

RemiD(Posted 2013) [#15]
Why do you do what you do ?
Do you earn good money by selling these games ? or with ads ? or with a secret technique ?
Do you have many fans and you do it for them ?
Is it just for you ?
What is it ? I don't understand.

redmoth(Posted 2013) [#16]
I like the new 'Xilvan Design forum'. I can't wait for the community to build up.

He does it because he enjoys it. And since he's hurting nobody here, there's absolutely no reason for people to hassle him about it.

I tend to agree with Zethrax on this one.

RemiD(Posted 2013) [#21]
I was not trying to be agressive or to hassle him, i was trying to understand where he gets his motivation.

I sometimes have problems to keep working on a project and when i see how Xylvan has made so many games and updates, i wonder where he gets his motivation.

You know, having good reasons to do something is a powerfull force. And understanding how to use this force is, i think, useful.

But if you don't want to answer, no problem.

Xilvan(Posted 2013) [#22]
Hi everyones,

Since sometimes,
my motivation
needs help.

I'll looking at the future
and I see some new projects.

I'm not sure to give that many worlds
in next game. Maybe a limit of 100
planets habitable or not
will be added.

Now, the goal of the new game,
finding an eartlike planet.

New other
project
soon !

If all you want is to make the game as big as possible, consider adding procedural world generation, then you can make a whole galaxy with the roll of a random number generator.

GaryV(Posted 2013) [#24]
Have you considered a FPS horror version of Candy? Where you are fighting a rabid Candy and her minions? Perhaps a modern day Cujo meets Silent Hill?

Xilvan(Posted 2013) [#25]
Hello there, today I'll work on the scenario
and I'll elaborate the main ideas.

For the moment the 4.57th version of:

Candy in Space III:
Part II, Another
Dogs Missions

and the 0.57th version of:

Lights of Dreams III:
The Wings of
Winds.

are available on
my page.

Maybe is the last version of this game.
The goal was to finish the game by
adding the missing parts.

Hi everyone,

I'm presently brainstorming
ideas for my upcoming game:

Candy's Spatial
Adventures:

A Messages from
the Lillians.

Candy will get a new spaceship,
an inter-stellar and an
inter-galactic
ships.

It will be possible
to custumise the
found planets.

Friendly,

GaryV(Posted 2013) [#27]
I admire your tenacity, Xylvan. At the end of the day, you may end up having created more with B3D than anybody else.

Good point.

I'm presently brainstorming
ideas for my upcoming game:

I admire your ability to stick with it Xylvan, most of my game oriented projects within Blitz3D tend to stop in development never to see the light of day once I get it so far, you have the drive to keep improving your product.

Xilvan(Posted 2013) [#29]
Hi everyone,

In v5.27, I've created a new hud for
space. I tried everything to capture
it as new gallery of screenshots.

( click to see the Gallery III)

I've enhenced the Tree of the World area.
Now the leaves move through the winds.

I'm presently starting
the new inter-stellar and
inter-galactic project.

I'll start modeling an inter-stellar ship
and continue with an inter-galactic one.

Xilvan(Posted 2013) [#30]
Hi everyone,

Now that the logo is done, I'm presently
searching for algorythm to create an
universe with 7 galaxies with
many planets.

I've found something very interesting
to render worlds: Perlin Noise.

I'm presently working
on planning of this
new game.

Remember to download version 5.47 of:

Candy in Space III:

Part II, Another
Dogs Mission.

Candy can you quickly head down to the main airlock and make sure there are no rats, creepies or anything like that in the Space Suit section? The last thing we need is little nibblers chewing through the space suits.

Xilvan(Posted 2013) [#33]
Hi everyone,

Recently, I decided to release
a new version for my new game.

See in first post what changed !

Synopsis

I've got an idea
of scenario:

"During a trip to the space Candy and Noopy's ship get suddently trapped
by a vortex. Now they are sent far away from the Lillian Galaxy and
discover new worlds. Will-they be back soon from
this distant Galaxy ?
"

- The Story -

I've added a new effect to
the game: Lens flares.

Visit my Blitz Game Blog
- Candy's Space Adventures v4.57 Worklog -
for more infos.

Suggestions here,
on the forum.

Friendly,

D4NM4N(Posted 2013) [#34]
I've added many new effects to
the game: Lens flare.
Don't you mean "a new effect".. :/ ...or "lens flare and....."

Xilvan(Posted 2013) [#35]
I'm presently looking for a way to
create a lens flare in both
Space and planets.

Version 1.27 is near completion.

I'm presently looking for
more ideas for this game.

Friendly,

Who was John Galt?(Posted 2013) [#36]
How about vehicles you can drive around in? That could be fun.

Xilvan(Posted 2013) [#37]
Maybe for lunar
expeditions.

- The dogs may exit from the ship for narrow missions
like

- Various kind of seeds like like pine trees,
palm trees seed and flower bulbs.

- The seeds may have
a "take" animation.

I've changed the logo a bit and
maybe I'll use realistic
galaxies shapes.

New ideas soon !

GaryV(Posted 2013) [#38]

Did you miss the Candy racing game?

Xilvan(Posted 2013) [#39]
I've unlocked the asteroids
for better challenge.

Recently, I tested my new game
Candy's Space Adventures v4.01.

In Normal Space Mode, it gives the 63 planets of the first solar
system visited in Candy in Space III: Part II. In Stellar and
Inter-Galaxtic Modes
, it is possible to come back in the Normal
Space Mode
and visit every planets of the first quests.

This Xilvan Design game are on cnet.download.com, softpedia.com,
sourceforge.net, gamefront.com and more on Google !

Edit: Thursday, February 27, 2014.
Spiral Flowers Seedling
are added in the game.

Simply:

- Left-Click for flowers.

It will cost only one seed
for 32 spiraled-flowers.

and

- Right-Click for a tree.

Each tree costs
one seed.

In this new version I have finally
found how to shoot and destroy
asteroids, comets and
evil ufos.

I debugued the cages' counters.
Now it work perfectly.

Xilvan(Posted 2014) [#40]
Hi everyone,

Version 5.75 will maybe featuring
virtual players everywhere
in Universe!

In this version, everything work
properly for this time.

Matty(Posted 2014) [#41]
Hey Xylvan. Your game is famous. Even my non gamer mother knows about it. In fact its the only blitz game she knows about for the past 5 years.

Xilvan(Posted 2014) [#42]
Hi everyone,

I'm still creating this game
since above a year. I'm up
to create a new game
titled:

Candy's Space Mysteries:
A Mission for
Blue Earth
Planet.

In this game, Candy & Noopy
must save the Earth.

Friendly,

-=Darkheart=-(Posted 2014) [#43]
I'm glad you are still having fun with Candy, Xilvan. I think by now you must be the most productive member of the Blitz community (in terms of games released at least!).

I'm glad you have been able to get so much from B3D.

I suggest you try Robocraft just for fun.

Darkheart

GfK(Posted 2014) [#44]
I think by now you must be the most productive member of the Blitz community (in terms of games released at least!).
I think Jayenkai holds that particular accolade, with 300+ games. Even though most if not all were written in Monkey, it still counts as part of the "Blitz community" in my book.

Matty(Posted 2014) [#45]
Games released? I see just one?

RemiD(Posted 2014) [#46]

I think by now you must be the most productive member of the Blitz community (in terms of games released at least!).

It depends on what you consider a "released game".

I consider the games of Xylvan more WIP than finished games.

If you want to see complex finished games made with blitzbasic, take a look at Tecno, Venus Hostage, Eschalon book, Tank Universal, Stranded, Solar system explorer, CSP demos. This is another level !

Jason W.(Posted 2014) [#47]
Xylvan might release a new version 2 to 3 times a day, but he's is the most optimistic blitz user here. Unfortunately, I'm the opposite.

Jason

Calibrator(Posted 2014) [#48]
I hear you, Jason!
I'd rather be completely unknown than being the Ed Wood jr. of blitzmax.com!

RemiD(Posted 2014) [#49]
Fortunately for the forum, most members don't post a new screenshot or a new demo each time they do a little improvement in their project. Else it would look like the google play store !

Who was John Galt?(Posted 2014) [#50]
Games released? I see just one?
Indeed. Anyone else watch Bagpuss as a nipper? Reminds me of the mouse mill.

http://www.veoh.com/watch/v13107551jzpGZsFG?h1=Bagpuss+08+-+The+Mouse+Mill

Matty(Posted 2014) [#51]
Oh my. Bagpuss. I could barely watch more than 2 minutes of that. So slow and ponderous... Sorry I couldn't face watching any more of it to find out what the mouse mill was.... ;-)

Who was John Galt?(Posted 2014) [#52]
Anyone with any class knows it's quality. You know nowt I tells ya!!! ;D

Blitzplotter(Posted 2014) [#53]
Oh, the mystery of Bagpuss, that takes me back.

Xilvan(Posted 2014) [#54]
Hi everyone,

I've just published v10.37
of my everlasting game:

Candy's Space

The Messages from
the Lillians.

i recommand you to test it!

I'm looking for new
